Date format

By John O |

Hi Mary, I notice the dates on the site are in American format. Any way they can be changed to dd/mm/yyyy? Ithink this is at site level and not user.

Thanks, John

Strangely I just noticed this myself, I'll see what I can find out - still learning :) but I suspect you are right about it being a configuration on the site.  When I sort it I'll delete this post

Emojis not appearing though

Both myself and the webmistress have spent quite a time this morning attempting to enable this unsuccessfully.  We believe there needs to be an upgraded module, but before we attempt to do that the database will need to be backed up and the forum taken off line for the short while it will take to do this.  It will be done at a quiet time and also to fit into our own time constraints, but hopefully sooner rather than later.  If the update doesn't work I think we will have to do without the emojis so fingers crossed.yes

PS thanks for the little tips which we have overlooked and which make life just that little easier for everybody, eg the date format.

Quote Button

We don't appear to have a Quote button, unless I'm missing something. It means if someone replies a few pages back, it could be missed.

Can I suggest you copy the part of the post you want to reply to and paste into your reply post, otherwise we will have to go back to the beginning every time we come on. Or am I definitely missing something?

Sorry but the facilities of this forum are more limited than the other one, here I copied the words I wanted and hit the "quotes" button above this post and pasted as your suggestion.  This method might actually keep the points quoted smaller and more relevant, as some used to quote a whole post which could have been lengthy.

Thank you, got it, and my arithmatic has improvedwink

Just need to work on the spelling, now

Sorry if that seems rude, The smiley I used didn't appear in the posted result.

Just a typo, how odd my spell checker never picked it up,

spel cheker, speling misteak, nope, it doesn't work on here, that means I'll have to start thinking again.

Thanks

Thanks to Mary , the Web manager and ayone else, for all their hard work.  I'm sure I will get used to it soon.

Thank you, and everybody for registering and supporting us.  It's not so different from the old one but hopefully will behave itself and let you all in laugh
